In 2006, an international competition for Landscape Sculptures was initiated by the Beijing 2008 Olympics Cultural Committee.

From 2433 responses around the world 290 were accepted. 

Of these, 148 toured China and the world until last month when 29 finalists were selected and invited to Beijing. 

This design "Grass Lifts Rock" won the '5 Rings Award'
